My career in translation began immediately after graduation in 2021, working with legal companies and certified translation offices. Over the past four years, I have translated thousands of pages across legal, medical, technical, and business domains, handling everything from international contracts and court arbitrations to patient education materials and software localization projects.
I have had the privilege of working with major international clients including global healthcare organizations, government entities across the United States, Qatar, and the UAE, multinational technology companies, and various legal firms. My medical translation work includes projects for leading healthcare providers and pharmaceutical companies, translating patient records, clinical reports, consent forms, and medical device documentation. In the legal field, I have translated complex contracts, corporate agreements, court trials, and arbitration documents. My technical translation experience spans software localization, hardware documentation, website content, and marketing materials for major technology brands.
Beyond my professional translation work, I have been volunteering as a medical translator since 2021 with “Translators without Borders” organization, where I translate critical healthcare documents that help patients in underserved communities understand their medical conditions and treatment options. My career took an exciting turn when I completed a comprehensive diploma program that equipped me with advanced skills in public relations, marketing strategy, content creation, and digital communication with “Ibn Sina Training Academy” in 2023. This training transformed my professional capabilities, allowing me to merge my linguistic expertise with strategic marketing knowledge. I discovered a passion for creating compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences across different cultural contexts.
Today, I work as a PR Marketing Coordinator and Translator, where I coordinate and support the planning, organization, and execution of local and international PR and marketing events. I translate press releases, speeches, interviews, and official documents while ensuring accuracy and cultural sensitivity. I create bilingual content for newsletters, social media platforms, and promotional materials that enhance organizational outreach and visibility. I collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent communication and branding, and I contribute to media relations by drafting and adapting communication materials tailored for Arabic-speaking audiences.
As a content creator, I develop engaging written content for various digital platforms, craft compelling narratives that connect brands with their target audiences, and adapt messaging to suit different cultural markets. What sets me apart from many translators is my strong technical background; I am proficient in programming languages including Python and C, and I have extensive knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques. I leverage these skills to develop innovative solutions that enhance translation workflows and improve efficiency across language service projects.
One of my proudest technical achievements is developing a custom bilingual text analysis framework tailored for both English and Arabic. This solution automates essential pre-processing tasks, such as cleaning formatting inconsistencies, removing noise like extra spaces or diacritics, and extracting specific linguistic patterns. By leveraging optimized string manipulation and regex algorithms, the framework generates detailed statistical insights on text structure and morphology, helping to flag potential quality issues and standardize source content.
I am also highly proficient in industry-standard Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools including Trados Studio, Phrase (formerly Memsource), Smartling, MateCat, SmartCat, and FluencyNow. I use quality assurance tools like Xbench to ensure translation accuracy and consistency. My technical skills extend to project management platforms, communication tools like Microsoft Teams and Zoom, and various content management systems.

Accessibility Advocacy and Innovation
Perhaps the mission I am most passionate about is my contribution to making the translation industry more accessible for visually-impaired professionals. I firmly believe that everyone with talent and dedication should have the opportunity to work in translation, regardless of physical ability.
I have been actively involved in a groundbreaking project to make Trados software fully accessible to blind and visually-impaired translators. It is one of the industry’s leading CAT tools for translators worldwide. This project involves extensive collaboration with the software development team to ensure that both the desktop application and cloud-based platform are fully compatible with screen readers like JAWS and NVDA. I provide detailed feedback on accessibility issues, test new features with assistive technology, and advocate for design choices that prioritize universal access. This work is helping to remove barriers that have historically prevented talented blind translators from fully participating in the localization industry.
Beyond my involvement in improving existing software, I have developed custom add-ons for the NVDA screen reader that are now officially published on the NVDA add-ons store. These add-ons are designed to enhance general digital accessibility and system navigation, offering tools that empower visually impaired users to interact with their computers more efficiently and independently. My goal is to bridge accessibility gaps in the digital environment, ensuring that technology remains usable and inclusive for everyone.
Developing these add-ons required learning the NVDA API, understanding how screen readers interpret different interface elements, and testing extensively with visually impaired colleagues to ensure the solutions truly meet their needs. Seeing these tools used by visually impaired users around the world and receiving positive feedback about how my tools have improved their workflow efficiency has been incredibly rewarding.
I have also conducted training sessions for visually-impaired individuals interested in entering the translation profession, helping them understand which tools are accessible, how to configure their assistive technology for optimal translation workflows, and sharing strategies for succeeding in the industry. My goal is to create a more inclusive translation community where diverse perspectives and abilities are not just welcomed but celebrated.

I am committed to continuous professional development and staying at the forefront of my field. I have completed specialized training courses in medical translation through multiple prestigious institutions, advancing from foundational to expert-level knowledge of medical terminology, pharmaceutical documentation, and clinical research translation. I have completed advanced legal translation courses covering both intermediate and expert levels, mastering the translation of contracts, litigation documents, and international agreements.
In August 2022, I also completed specialized training in literary translation at the Arabic School of Translation under the mentorship of Dr. Hossam el-Din Moustafa. Through this program, I mastered techniques for preserving authorial voice, handling cultural references, and adapting creative content across languages. Furthermore, My commitment to editorial excellence is backed by specialized training. In December 2021, I completed a content writing course with Translation Birds, followed by an English editing and proofreading program at the Arabic School of Translation in December 2022. These academic milestones, combined with my training in Arabic editing and proofreading, laid the groundwork for the extensive expertise I have since cultivated in bilingual editing and proofreading. This solid foundation allows me to deliver not just accurate translations, but polished, publication-ready content in both languages.
